HeatPumpGrantHub tracks heat pump grants and rebates in two countries that are both changing fast — and that is the whole reason it exists. In the United States the federal credit ended, leaving a state-by-state patchwork. In the United Kingdom the Boiler Upgrade Scheme keeps being amended. Most pages you find are accurate on the day they are written and quietly wrong six months later.

Every amount, date and eligibility rule comes from the body that sets it. Ofgem and DESNZ for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. The IRS for federal tax credits. The individual state energy office for a state programme. Not aggregators, not other trackers, not press coverage.

If we cannot verify something, we leave it out and say we have left it out. You will see that on our page about the £9,000 grant, where we decline to publish an eligibility definition that Ofgem has not itself published on its scheme page. An honest gap is more useful than a confident guess.

Every page carries the date we last checked it against source, and links to that source. When we re-check a page and nothing has changed, we still update the date — so a recent date means recently confirmed, not recently rewritten.

Where a programme is income-qualified, we say so before we quote the headline number. Where a scheme is waitlisted or out of funding, we say that too. Where a grant applies in England and Wales but not Scotland or Northern Ireland, we spell it out rather than write “the UK” and let you find out later.

The site is free and carries no advertising. We may be paid a referral fee if you ask to be connected with an installer through a partner service. That fee comes from the partner, never from you, and it does not change what any scheme pays. We will. Schemes change without notice and we are a small operation. If you find a figure that is out of date or wrong, tell us — we fix it, change the verification date, and credit the correction. That is more useful to everyone than pretending it does not happen.
